When Accusations Fill the Air

When Accusations Fill the Air

Hello friends,

I want to share a few thoughts from my heart.

My heart goes out to all those affected by the wave of accusations being aimed at various ministries and highlighted across media platforms. Do I believe God is purifying His house? Yes, I do. Do I believe it is God’s will for this process to be carried out publicly in the media? No, I do not. But that is the reality we are witnessing.

People were hurt in the past, and now people are being hurt again—this time by reports, commentary, and accusation. I do not believe God is reaching back twenty years to resurrect forgiven sins in order to cleanse His Church today. What I do see is an accusational spirit running unchecked.

I also notice something troubling when it comes to attitudes toward church life. There seem to be more “somebody done me wrong” songs than anyone can count, and far fewer voices offering praise or testimony. Where is the testimony of the faithful? Where is the gratitude? Where is the willingness to stand with those under fire?

History shows us that this kind of momentum is not new. Group mindsets gain speed, emotions take over, and before long people justify actions they would never have considered on their own. Once accusation gains authority, discernment often disappears.

So the real question becomes this: now what? What are we supposed to do?

To those of you who are feeling nervous or fearful, as though no one is safe anymore—don’t give up. To those training for ministry, don’t be shaken. Keep answering your call.

I’ve heard people say, “It’s not safe out there. If you go into ministry, someone will try to tear your family apart.” What I don’t hear enough is this: God protects His own. When you hear His voice and obey as faithfully as you can, He has your back.

Trust Him.

Below is a short video by Rick Joyner that addresses the issue of accusation. He begins by referencing Sadhu Sundar, but after a few minutes shifts into the spiritual cost and consequences of becoming an accuser. It’s worth watching with discernment and prayer.
