Our Lives: Check, Double-Check

Our Lives: Check, Double-Check

Everyone pauses at some point during the day to check in on their lives. We evaluate where we are and where we’re going—sometimes consciously, sometimes simply out of habit.

For the Christian, this often looks like holding one’s life up before the Lord and asking, “How am I doing, Lord?” or “What’s next? What should I do now?” Continue reading “Our Lives: Check, Double-Check”

This Is What Leadership Looks Like Sometimes

This Is What Leadership Looks Like Sometimes

If you’re called to lead—whether in ministry, business, or everyday life—there will be days like this.

Today, the posting plan got bumped. Legal work had to be prepared—an eviction. Not something anyone enjoys. The tenant had a pattern of being late but usually paid around this time of year. This time, he pushed it too far. And when leadership said, “File the eviction,” that was it. Continue reading “This Is What Leadership Looks Like Sometimes”

Being MisUnderstood

“The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still.”
— Exodus 14:14

Sometimes the hardest burden to carry isn’t injustice itself—it’s the weight of not being understood. You want to explain. You want to clear things up. You want people to know your heart.

But often, the more you explain, the more tangled it becomes. Continue reading “Being MisUnderstood”

Consider The Rapture

📌 Consider the Rapture

It begins with the rapture.. an event that can happen at any moment. Considering this sudden and final event will snap you into the alert mode, and it also sifts out a lot of temporal thoughts and plans. If you know that any moment that the whole world will face a huge change, and if you know that each and every life from this point on will never be the same, it can make you a serious thinker really quick.

Imagine that tomorrow you will not be here on earth, but instead, you will be in heaven… where is your family? your friends? Are they with you or did they get left behind? Do you have a ministry you are called to and have not fulfilled your task?

Deeply considering the Rapture is a very sobering thing to do. Let the Lord stir you deep within your heart. Let Him help you adjust your priorities.

Prepare now because there are many calling for the Lord Jesus to come…

Come Jesus Come

Prayer is No Small Thing

📌 Prayer is No Small Thing

Prayer is not a little habit pinned on to us while we were tied to our mother’s apron strings; neither is it a little decent quarter of a minute’s grace said over an hour’s dinner, but it is a most serious work of our most serious years. It engages more of time and appetite than our longest dinings or richest feasts. The prayer that makes much of our preaching must be made much of. The character of our praying will determine the character of our preaching. Light praying will make light preaching. Prayer makes preaching strong, gives it unction, and makes it stick. In every ministry weighty for good, prayer has always been a serious business.

Valley of Decision

The Valley of Decision:

The valley of decision is a hard place. It’s a place of choosing spirit over flesh. Jesus tells us that our spirits are willing, but our flesh is weak. The valley of decision is where the winds of the Holy Spirit blow hard against us, whirling around and around giving us no peace until we let go of our comfort zones and yield to His changes in our lives. The valley is a good place to be… but we are not equipped to stay there long and the Holy Storm will blow on by. So choose to trust God and step out…

If You’ve Never Spoken in Tongues

📌 If You’ve Never Spoken in Tongues

George Mueller says:
Never speak until…

~
I was then asked by the sister who had been baptized, “But have you been baptized?” (She meant ‘in the Spirit’)

I answered, “Yes, when I was a child.”

She then replied, “Have you ever read the Scriptures, and prayed with reference to this subject?”

I answered, “No.”

“Then,” she said, “I entreat you, never to speak any more about it till you have done so.”
~

It pleased the Lord to show me the importance of this remark…

Do Not Neglect the Gift of Tongues

1 Corinthians 14:2 TPT

When someone speaks in tongues, no one understands a word he says, because he’s not speaking to people, but to God—he is speaking intimate mysteries in the Spirit.

Testimony after testimony is written about the power of praying in the spirit.

Jude 1:20 NKJV

But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit

[So that we can/will be His Messengers…]

Acts 1:8 TPT

But I promise you this—the Holy Spirit will come upon you, and you will be seized with power. You will be my messengers to Jerusalem, throughout Judea, the distant provinces—even to the remotest places on earth!”

Don’t take for granted nor underestimate the importance of being filled and empowered by the Holy Spirit

Luke 3:16 NKJV

John answered, saying to all, “I indeed baptize you with water; but One mightier than I is coming, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to loose. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and FIRE.

We are empowered to do His will, we can’t afford to neglect it.
