📌 Double For Your Trouble

“Instead of your shame you will have a double portion,
And instead of humiliation they will shout for joy over their portion.
Therefore they will possess a double portion in their land,
Everlasting joy will be theirs.” — Isaiah 61:7 NASB

🔹This verse comes from a powerful chapter in Isaiah that prophetically describes the mission of the Messiah—one who brings good news to the afflicted, binds up the brokenhearted, and proclaims liberty to captives (Isaiah 61:1). By verse 7, we see the redemptive results of His mission—especially for those who have walked through deep valleys of shame and dishonor. Continue reading “📌 Double For Your Trouble”

Be Strong

Christian Living: Be Strong

Joshua 1:7 (NKJV)

“Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go.”

🔹 “Only be strong and very courageous”
• This is a divine command, not just a motivational phrase.
• Joshua is stepping into leadership after Moses—an enormous responsibility.
• God repeats this command multiple times (v.6, v.9) to emphasize that spiritual strength and courage are not optional when leading or walking in obedience.
• “Only” sets the tone: this is the key requirement.

The Day I Felt Forgotten

📘 The Day I Felt Forgotten

There was a moment not long ago when I sat quietly in a room full of noise, and still felt invisible. Conversations carried on around me. Needs were being met, prayers answered, doors opened—for others.

And I thought, Did You forget me, Lord?

I didn’t say it out loud. I didn’t even dare pray it. But the ache was there… and God answered it.

That night, as I lay in bed trying to silence the hum of discouragement, the Holy Spirit whispered so gently:

“I have engraved you on the palms of My hands.”

—Isaiah 49:16

I wept. Not because I was in pain anymore, but because I’d been seen. Not overlooked. Not dismissed. Not forgotten.

And maybe that’s what you need to hear today too.

God has not forgotten you.

Your name is etched into Him.

He is tracking every detail, every tear, every moment you wonder if He’ll come through.

Hold on. Heaven knows your name.

🛐 Prayer

Lord, thank You for seeing me. For loving me even in the quiet moments when no one else seems to notice. Heal my heart from discouragement, and remind me that I’m not forgotten. I’m held, remembered, and cherished. In Jesus’ name, amen.

📖 Scripture to Carry

“Can a woman forget her nursing child…? Even if she forgets, I will not forget you. See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands.”
