In His Service – IHS

The Lord is my all in all.

If I stopped right there, I’d still be telling the truth. But He deserves more than just one line of praise. My entire life is a testimony of His faithfulness, His mercy, and His incredible patience—and I smile as I write that, because I know just how deeply He’s walked with me.

✝️ The Early Years

I came to know Jesus as my Savior in the 8th grade. From that moment through my high school graduation in 1975, I was full of zeal and passionately evangelistic. Not long after graduating, I answered the call to preach the gospel.

At the time, I was attending a Presbyterian church. Everything shifted when we invited a guest speaker from the charismatic stream of the Church. That visiting pastor discerned the call of God on my life, and soon after, the presbytery anointed me and sent me off to college for ministry training. That was 1975—the beginning.

In 1976, while attending Montreat Anderson College in North Carolina, I was baptized in the Holy Spirit. It was a time of incredible equipping. I sat under some of the most influential voices of that era—Kathryn Kuhlman, Bob Mumford, Richard Roberts, Jamie Buckingham, and others.

God had placed me in a rich and powerful environment. But after a deeply personal encounter with the Holy Spirit that I didn’t yet understand, fear crept in. Overwhelmed by the manifestation of His power and unsure how to process it, I withdrew—and left college.

💔 The Season of Distance

I eventually joined a Baptist church and made a conscious decision to distance myself from anything related to the gifts of the Spirit.

I still loved the Lord deeply. I remained in His Word, prayed often, and continued to walk with Him the best I could. But I closed my heart to anything that spoke of hearing God’s voice or flowing in the gifts of the Spirit.

Over time, through both trials and quiet hunger, a holy desperation began to grow in me—a longing to truly know Him and to yield to Him completely.

🔥 A Return to His Leading

In 1991, I rededicated my life to the Lord and committed to follow Him wholeheartedly. I returned to college and earned my Bachelor’s degree in 1995, followed by my Master’s in 1997.

But the true breakthrough came later that year, when I surrendered everything. I began to actively seek the Holy Spirit and His ways once again.

On March 2, 1998, everything changed. A new path opened before me—and from that day forward, I’ve walked with clarity, with joy, and with a deep reverence for the call He has placed on my life.

It is my honor to serve as both a watchman and a teacher in this hour.

🕊️ My Voice and Doctrine

When people ask what I believe, I often describe it this way:

If I could sit down with a cup of coffee and talk about the things of God with people who understand the times and carry His heart, the conversation would feel familiar alongside voices like:

  • Bobby Conner – a gentle giant and a trustworthy prophet to the Body of Christ
  • Rick Joyner – a seasoned visionary
  • Kenneth Copeland – whose teachings on covenant have shaped much of my walk
  • Mac Hammond – and others who’ve become companions along the journey

These are people whose lives and messages resonate with what the Lord is doing in and through me.
