✨ Kay’s Testimony
Always Reaching Higher…
Hi, I’m Kay.
It’s an honor to share my testimony with you. As you read, I pray the Lord is glorified—and that you’re reminded just how faithfully He meets us, even in the places we least expect.
🌼 Early Foundations
I was raised in a small town in Texas and adopted at the age of three by two wonderful parents who gave me a loving Christian home. We attended a Baptist church, and from an early age I was taught the beautiful stories of Jesus.
I accepted the Lord into my heart around the age of ten.
When I was thirteen, I came across a verse that would stay with me for decades:
“Let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.” – Galatians 6:9
That scripture marked me deeply. But as I entered my late teens, the enemy twisted its meaning. I began to feel tired of being the “good little girl.” I listened to the lies and drifted. Rebellion crept in—and I started chasing after my own way.
🎖️ Searching in All the Wrong Places
After high school, I joined the Army. Like many others around me, I got caught up in partying, drinking, and trying to fit in. During that time, I met a man, and after a year of dating, we got married.
Life moved forward quickly. But even as a wife and mother, something inside me felt hollow.
💔 A Quiet Ache for Something More
Growing up, I didn’t have grand plans for my future. I thought I’d marry, have a couple of kids, and settle into a routine. And I did—but once my boys were born and life became a blur of responsibilities, I realized something was missing.
I began to cry out to the Lord.
I knew I wasn’t being the woman I was meant to be. I didn’t like who I had become, and I doubted that God could still love me after all I had done.
But then—He met me.
One night, while carrying my youngest son back to bed after a bathroom trip, I leaned down to tuck him in. Half-asleep, he whispered:
“Thank you, Mommy, for getting me.”
In that moment, the Lord showed me—just as I picked up my son, Jesus had picked up me.
He had “gotten me” all along.
His love broke through every wall. I cried, repented, and felt a flood of sorrow, joy, peace, and release—all in one moment.
That was the beginning of a new pursuit—a deep hunger to know Him more.
🔥 A Life Marked by His Power
It was during that season that I was introduced to the supernatural power of God. I began fellowshipping with believers from the charismatic movement, and my heart came alive to the reality of His presence.
Since then, I’ve walked through many valleys.
I’ve known the pain of divorce.
I’ve endured persecution—even from fellow believers—slander, and rejection.
But through it all, I’ve grown.
I’ve matured in ways I never could have otherwise. And I thank the Lord for it. Because I’ve also known mountaintop moments—intimacy with Him, the sweetness of His voice, the nearness of His Spirit.
I’ve come to know Him not only as Savior and Lord, but as Friend.
🌿 Life Today
Today, I’m honored to serve alongside my sister-in-law and dear friend, Stacie. Her fire for God and unwavering love for truth have been a lifeline to me more than once.
Together, we serve in ministry and property management here in Florida.
I’ve been called as a watchman and a teacher, and I’m learning how to express His love through creative arts—pencil, ink, colored pencil, and more. (And I’m loving the Florida sunshine after years in the cold north!)
❤️ My Heart’s Desire
My heart’s cry is to walk as Jesus walked—in love, in truth, and in mercy.
I want to be bold enough to tell the truth, even when it’s hard…
And never offer someone a soft road to hell just to keep things comfortable.
I’m still growing. Still learning.
But one thing I know:
Life with Jesus is never boring.
He teaches through every moment—every trial, every conversation, every quiet place. It truly is an adventure. And the destination is more glorious than we can imagine:
A day when we’ll all gather in heaven, worshiping together, fully healed, and free from every sorrow.
✨ An Invitation
If you’re reading this and your heart is aching for more…
Just start with a whisper:
“Jesus, I want to know You.”
You may feel like you’ve done too much wrong. But I promise you—He can “get” you too.
He knows right where you are.
And He’s already reaching for you.
If you need someone to talk to, we’ve got a beautiful group of people who would love to walk with you, pray for you, and help you grow.
He’s a good, good Friend.
And if I don’t meet you here on earth,
I’ll see you in heaven.
What a day that will be.
Always reaching higher,
Kay
