But the Church often defines “power” as what can be seen immediately. So the watchman looks at their life and thinks:
“If God is with me… why don’t I see what others see?”
The answer is not lack of power — it’s misaligned expectation.
2. Watchmen often carry pre-manifestation power
Most signs and wonders are the last link in a long chain.
Watchmen often function at:
• the warning stage
• the alignment stage
• the intercession stage
• the restraint stage
Which means:
• What you prevent never becomes a testimony
• What you restrain never makes headlines
• What you discern early never becomes a crisis
That can feel like nothing is happening.
But in heaven? It’s recorded as obedience and authority.
3. Scripture quietly confirms this pattern
Think about it:
• Ezekiel was told to warn, not fix outcomes
• Habakkuk stood and watched, often without change
• Jeremiah wept more than he saw miracles
• Anna watched and waited for decades
• Simeon saw one moment — but carried a lifetime of discernment
None of them were powerless.
They were positioned differently.
4. Why signs and wonders look different through watchmen
Signs and wonders for watchmen are often:
• Delays
• Interruptions
• Course corrections
• Exposure before explosion
• Peace instead of panic
• Order instead of chaos
Those don’t photograph well. So watchmen quietly ask:
“Did I miss God?” No. They met Him early.
5. The discouragement comes from comparison, not calling
When watchmen compare themselves to:
• Evangelists
• Revivalists
• Public healers
They measure themselves by the wrong ruler. Different mantle. Different evidence. Power looks different when your job is guarding, not harvesting.
6. One of the enemy’s favorite lies to watchmen:
“If God were really using you, you’d see more.” That lie has silenced many faithful watchers.
The truth is: If God weren’t using you, things would be worse.
But no one ever thanks the watchman for what didn’t happen!!

That’s watchman work even now.
