📌”Not Even a Dog Will Bark”
Exodus 11:7
When God prepared to bring Israel out of Egypt, the entire nation was about to experience a night unlike any other. Death would pass through the land. Judgment would fall on every household that stood outside the blood covenant. Egypt would erupt in cries of anguish.
But over the homes of God’s people?
Silence.
The Lord said:
“Against any of the children of Israel not even a dog will move its tongue…”
In ancient times, dogs were the alarm system of the night.
They barked at danger.
They howled at strangers.
They reacted to fear and disruption.
But in Israel’s camp, God promised:
– no barking
– no howling
– no disturbance
– no panic
– no fear
– no loss
In a night when Egypt shook with terror, Israel rested in supernatural peace.
Why?
“…that you may know how the LORD puts a difference between the Egyptians and Israel.”
🔹God Himself makes a distinction between His people and the world.
Not based on merit.
Not based on effort.
Not based on worthiness.
But on covenant.
The blood on their doorposts marked them.
Today, the blood of Jesus marks us.
So when fear tries to bark…
when the enemy tries to intimidate…
when chaos sweeps through the world…
when uncertainty rattles others…
God speaks the same promise:
“Not even a dog will bark against what is Mine.”
You are protected.
You are distinguished.
You are covered.
You are marked by the blood.
There is a difference on your life, and heaven makes sure it is known.
