📌Rapture Then Second Coming:

At about 25 min is where they explain:

Here’s how Lee explains it:

Technically, there is only one Second Coming—one great Parousia (Greek word for “arrival” or “royal presence”). That’s the day Jesus returns to take control of the earth and establish His Kingdom.

But Scripture also uses another Greek word alongside Parousia: Apantēsis.

• Parousia = the arrival of the King in glory to His own domain.

• Apantēsis = the act of going out to meet the King and escort Him back in.

In the ancient Greek and Roman world, when a king or emperor approached a city, the citizens would not simply wait behind the walls. A delegation would go out of the city to meet him some distance away—sometimes a half-day, a full day, or more—and then return with him in procession back into the city. That escort group was part of his public appearing.

That “going out to meet and then returning with” is exactly what Apantēsis means.

Lee’s point is this:

• The rapture is the Apantēsis part—we go out to meet the Lord in the air.

• The visible return to earth is the climactic Parousia—when He descends to the Mount of Olives to reign.

So we’re not talking about “two second comings.”

We’re talking about one Second Coming with two closely related phases:

1. The rapture – the Church is caught up to meet Him (the welcoming delegation).

2. The public return – we come back with Him as He sets up His Kingdom.

That ancient picture of a city going out to meet its king and returning in triumph with him beautifully illustrates the relationship between the rapture and the Second Coming.
