Hebrews 6:12 — “Imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.”

There is a simple, powerful invitation in Hebrews 6:12 that reaches across generations and calls to us today. The writer urges us not to drift, not to grow tired, not to move through life half-awake spiritually — but to imitate those who actually received the promises of God. The ones who didn’t just hear about the blessings… but walked in them.

So look at their footsteps. Look at their stories. Look at Abraham waiting. Look at Joseph believing. Look at David trusting. Look at the modern faith walkers who stood on God’s Word until it came alive in their lives. Their testimonies are not meant to intimidate us; they are meant to guide us.

If you want what they had, walk the way they walked.

God is no respecter of persons — but He honors faith wherever He finds it.

And if you will imitate those who inherited before you, you will become one that others look to when their time comes to believe.
